![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well, I usually try to be both diplomatic and respectful of other peoples' opinions. But, as a farewell bid to the boards, I think I'll unrestrain myself, and offer this opinion: New Teen Titans, vol. 2 ... PHOOEY! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hmmm....in the spirit of things, I'll say this: I've always thought Superman was STUPID! Now, after reading all 8 Archives of his GA adventures, I KNOW HE IS! SUPERMAN IS JUST PLAIN STUPID!!!!! (Censor that, DC!) ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You know what discourages me? I'm old enough to have hated both Lyndon Johnson and Richard Nixon when they were in office, with reasonably adult understanding, and to have appreciated how truly awful, in their very different ways, each was. What appalls, scares, and disgusts me, and has for quite a while now, is how damned good both of them look (not necessarily as human beings or as people whose policies I'd support, but as competent professionals) compared to every single one of their successors to date. Since 1974, we've had well-meaning inept buffoons, idiot puppets of god-knows-who, a conservative masquerading as a liberal and being beaten up by the right for it, and a sinister nitwit who didn't even win his election. It's almost enough to make me want to move to Ireland... IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well, since LBJ has been mentioned, I do believe that he deserves some credit for uttering one of my favorite quotes by an American politician. Not all of this may make it through the censoring software, but roughly it went: "The Press treats you like a bitch in heat. If you run, they chew your tail off. If you stand still, they try to slip it to you." There is quite a contrast in the "relationships" between the Press and Executive Branch in the Sixties and the present day. -Scott IP: Logged |
